Eighteen from C’garh to get Police Medal

The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday said that seven officers and others in Chhattisgarh have been selected for the Police Medal for Gallantry, one for the President's Police Medal and 10 for the Police Medal for Meritorious Services.

The announcement was made on the occasion of the Republic Day.

IPS officer Abhishek Pallav, Sub-Inspectors Vaibhav Mishra, Ashwini Sinha, Yashwant Shyam and Uttam Kumar, Head Constable Ushru Ram Korram and Assistant Police Constable Late Krishpal Singh Kushwaha will get the Police Medal for Gallantry.

ADG Vivekanand Sinha has been selected for the President's Police Medal.

Raipur IG Ajay Kumar Yadav, Bilaspur IG Badrinarayan Meena, IPS officer Jhaduram Thakur, EOW SP Pankaj Chandra, Additional SP Anant Kumar Sahu, Inspector Kamleshwar Singh, Company Commander Arjun Singh Thakur, Platoon Commander Sanjay Kumar Dubey, Platoon Commander Harihar Prasad and Head Constable Balveer Singh have been selected for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu have congratulated the police officers and others who will be decorated.
