Under the aegis of Shashwat Institute of Teachers Education, Ranchi, the third day of the three-day international seminar was started with Ganesh Vandana by famous Indian Kathak dancer Dr. Anu Singha. Dr. Sinha enthralled the audience with her rousing and soulful rendition of ‘Shri Ramchandra Kripalu Bhaju Man Haran Bhava Bhaya Darunam’. The theme of the seminar was National Education Policy 2020 and the role of teachers in nation building.
Speaking as the chief guest of the closing session, Dr. JB Pandey said that the National Education Policy 2020 is an important positive step in the field of education of the Modi government and is important from many points of view. “Education is not a problem but a solution. ‘Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye’ i.e. knowledge is there, which frees man from all bondages. This education policy has come after 34 years. It has special emphasis on quality and employment oriented education with ethics. Elementary education will be imparted in the mother tongue,” he said.
College trustees Amar Nath Bhagat, Anupam Sheshak and Sneh Ranjan also presented their views. While presiding, Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma said that teachers are nation builders and in their lap both construction and destruction flourish. In the seminar, Dr. Kumari Manisha, Dr. Vasudev Prasad, Dr. Ajit Singh, Dr. Vinod Kumar Rai, Dr. Om Prakash, Dr. Gautam Singh, Dr. Anand, Laxman Prasad Nagendra Kumar Chauhan, Dr. Mamta Kumari etc captivated the seminar with their deep thoughts.
Dr. Vasudev Prasad said that a teacher should have character and without them the development of the nation cannot be conceptualised. The guests were welcomed with books and not bouquets. Principal Dr. Vinod Kumar Rai welcomed the guests, Dr. Kamal Kumar Bose conducted the programme and Dr. Deshraj Singh presented the vote of thanks. All the teachers of the college were honoured by the management on this occasion.
Dr. Vasudev Prasad honoured Dr. J. B. Pandey, Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Dr. Kamal Kumar Bose and Dr. Anand by presenting them dhotis. A souvenir was released and certificates were given to the participants. The programme concluded with the national anthem.
