Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that counting of votes for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023 will take place on December 3. Instructions have been issued by the Election Commission of India regarding appointing agents on the day of counting.
Rajan said that any person who has been provided security by the Central or State Government, as well as Central and State Ministers, sitting MPs, MLAs, Mayors, Presidents of District Panchayats, Janpad Panchayats, Nagar Panchayats, chairperson of Municipal Corporations, chairpersons and members of Central and State Government Public Undertakings, chairperson and members of Government Authority etc will not be able to be appointed agents of any candidate for counting of votes.
