From 27th December, Dr. Ramdayal Munda Tribal Welfare Research Institute is launching free (non-residential) “Santali Language Coaching” for the boys and girls of Scheduled Tribe community for the preparation of Union Public Service Commission and equivalent competitive examinations. . This special coaching program related to the competitive examination of the Union Public Service Commission is of about 4 months. Till now thirty (30) students have enrolled in it.
The objective of this program is to help the students of Scheduled Tribe category succeed in the competitive examinations of Union Public Service Commission in 'Santali' language included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. Because of the peculiarities of the Santali language syllabus, candidates from other language courses are likely to score more marks. The specialty of Santali language included in the 8th Schedule is that the participants from communities like Mundari, Ho, Khadiya, Asuri, Birhori, Birjia, Swasi etc., who speak the languages of the Mundari language family, do not have any difficulty in preparing because their mother tongue is similar to Santali. There will be no difficulty.
In this coaching program, separate additional classes are also being conducted for the participants of non-Mundari language family, so that they can easily learn Santali language and can get involved in the preparation of its curriculum as soon as possible. For the 'Santali Language Coaching' being conducted in the institute, the curriculum will be prepared by the lecturers like Dumani Mai Murmu, Assistant Professor of Santali Language Department of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Dr. Francis C. Murmu and Dr. Santosh Murmu.
The curriculum of this training has been specially prepared in accordance with the Union Public Service Commission and equivalent examinations. In which there are books of prose, poetry, novels, stories, drama and biography. Such as Horah Sereng - WG Archer, Ho Serang, Raghunath Murmu, Soros Sereng - Babulal Murmu (Tribal) Novel - Haramavak Ato - Aaron Carstairs (Translator - RK Kisku), Manu Mati - Chandra Mohan Hansda, Ato Horak - Doman Hansdack, Ojoy Gada Dheek - Nathaniyal Murmu, Jeon Gada - Roop Chandra Hansda, and Jadumni Besra, Mayajaal - Doman Sahu 'Sameer', and Padmashree Bhagwat Murmu 'Thakur' etc.
It is known that two more coaching programs will be started by the institute from the second week of January. In this, "Free Non-Residential Program" for the preparation of competitive examination of State Public Service Commission for the youth of Scheduled Tribe and "Free Residential Coaching" for the youth of Very Vulnerable Tribal Community (PVTG) for various competitive examinations of the state.
