Directs reopening of natural farming portal

Reviewing the Traditional Agricultural Development Scheme, Khattar emphasized that the state government is making continuous efforts to promote natural farming. He encouraged farmers to transition from traditional to natural farming practices, noting that alongside raising awareness, proper training would be crucial in this endeavor. To facilitate greater participation, the Chief Minister also directed officials to re-open the Natural Farming Portal, allowing interested farmers to easily register.

Moving on to agricultural concerns, the Chief Minister directed the Agriculture Department to launch a comprehensive awareness campaign on Soil Health Cards. This campaign aims to educate farmers about the card's benefits in boosting crop yields and ensure its widespread and timely adoption, promoting sustainable and productive agricultural practices.

Khattar entrusted the Women and Child Development Department with the crucial task of child vaccinations. He called for seamless collaboration between Anganwadi workers, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), and other stakeholders to achieve optimal coverage and protect public health.

The Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary Revenue and Disaster Management Department and Financial Commissioner, Revenue TVSN Prasad, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister V Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Amit Agrawal and Administrative Secretaries of various Departments were present in the meeting.

Chandigarh: On the Shaheedi Jor Mela held to commemorate the martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh and Mata Gujri, Punjab Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit paid obeisance at Gurudwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib.  The Governor said that a parallel to the martyrdom of the younger sons of Dasampita Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Gujri Ji is not found anywhere in the world. He said that Baba Jorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, who were just 9 and 7 years old, bravely resisted the brutal Mughal rule and stood firm on their faith with fearlessness and determination. They set a unique example by their supreme sacrifice.
