Chief Secretary L Khyangte has instructed all the Deputy Commissioners to organize programs across the state to commemorate the completion of four years of the Jharkhand government. In Project Bhavan, he gave necessary instructions to the officials for the success of the program through video conferencing. The main function will be held on December 29 at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will also give many gifts to the state on this day. In this, appointment letters will be distributed among about 9000 people. Preparations for this are in the final stages in all departments.
In the ceremony, the foundation stone of many big projects under the Road Construction Department will be inaugurated. Meanwhile, preparations are also underway to inaugurate the newly constructed Jharkhand Bhawan in New Delhi on the same day. Your scheme, your government, your door program is to conclude on 29th itself. In such a situation, Ranchi district administration has also started special preparations for this day.
Along with the approval of the large-scale Abua Housing Scheme, the applications of the applicants of 17 other schemes will be approved. Assets will also be distributed.
Sources said that on completion of four years of JMM/Congress alliance government, the Soren government will launch several welfare schemes with an aim to reach out to poor. The government presently runs several welfare schemes which has become popular among the people and changing their livelihood. This year, Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched Rs 15000 crore 'Abua Awas Yojna' on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day to build homes for the needy in the next two years.
Abua Housing Scheme, a state-supported initiative aimed at providing three-room accommodations to eligible beneficiaries. Under the Abua Awas Yojana, houses are to be constructed in a minimum area of 31 square meters, including a clean kitchen. The scheme prioritizes the registration of houses in the name of women in the family.
Apart from these various other welfare schemes are run by government. In 2019, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Mr. Raghubar Das, launched the Mukhyamantri Sukanya Yojana under the Women Child Development and Social Security Department of the state to stop child marriage in Jharkhand and save daughter, educate daughter.
However, on August 24, 2022, the state cabinet approved a proposal to change the name of the scheme to Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. Under this revised scheme, girls will receive financial assistance of Rs 2,500 for enrollment in class 8, Rs 2,500 for enrollment in class 9, Rs 5,000 for enrollment in class 10, Rs 5,000 for enrollment in class 11, and Rs 5,000 for enrollment in class 12. Additionally, upon reaching the age of 18-19, the girl child will receive a lump sum grant of Rs 20,000.
The Soren government also introduced schemes for providing easy education loans to students and also free coaching so that they can appear at competitive examinations.
