Crime branch police have arrested a robbery accused and recovered the valuables and motorcycle used in the incident; the accused had robbed a gold chain from a woman on Saturday.
Police said that on December 16, Shanti Bisht of Neelbad was robbed of a gold chain by bike borne miscreants.
In her complaint she stated that in the evening she was walking with husband to the grocery store in the locality to buy goods and as soon as they reached the road behind the government school, three bike borne miscreants appeared and snatched the gold chain from the victim's neck and escaped the spot.
Taking the case with seriousness, the Crime Branch team was formed under the direction of Police Commissioner, Bhopal which searched for the accused on the basis of the footage found in the incident.
During the search, it was found from the informer that Furkan, a resident of Aishbagh was involved in the robbery, he was searched and interrogated closely.
Furkan said that along Alpesh Khan and Yasin, resident of Housing Board, he snatched the chain. In the incident, the motorbike owner Alpesh was interrogated separately and when the three accused were interrogated separately, all three accepted their crime.
The gold chain was stolen in the incident and the vehicle used in the incident was recovered. More than half a dozen crimes are registered in various police stations of Bhopal city against the three.
