A State-level Seminar on “Consumer Rights and Responsibilities of Consumers" was held in the premises of Dinabandhu Sahu Law College here.
Consumer Rights Organisation State president Eng Bikram Keshari Rautray and District Consumer Court president Pravat Kumar Padhi attended as the guest of honour on the occasion.
President of Governing Body, Dinabandhu Sahu Law College Sujit Kumar Mohanty conducted the seminar whereas Principal of the college Rabindra Kumar Bal introduced the guests.
On the occasion, the annual magazine "CONVERGENCE" of the college was released by the guests.
Sujit Kumar Mohanty highlighted the various legal aspects of the Consumer Rights and the various problems faced by the consumers in their daily life.
The guests remembered the sacrifice of late Bhagabat Prasad Mohanty by saying that Bhagabatbabu was not a person but an institution. It was his timely effort and sacrifice that Ayaba Government Science College, Urban Co-operative Bank, Dinabandhu Sahu Law College and Bypass Road were set up.
On the occasion, a campaign was signed on tobacco, alcohol and drug prevention. Finally, Senior Lecturer of the institute, Kalinga Keshari Behera gave vote of thanks.
