The commissioner of railway safety, east central railway Kolkata Suvomoy Mitra, today inspected and oversaw the speed train trial on the third railway line between Chiyanki and Rajhara railway stations by first rolling down 9 motor trolleys on it.
Railway sources said the distance between Chiyanki and Rajhara railway station is little over 25 km and here a speed train is to run as part of the trial for the quality and durability of the third railway line.
Before the speed train trial there ran 9 motor trolleys on the third railway line between Chiyanki and Rajhara railway station. The motor trolleys were flaunting red flags.
Passengers waiting for the train on platform number 2 had this to watch with amusement as it was an experience to see so many motor trolleys on one railway track.
The RPF contingent led by its inspector incharge Banarsi Yadav was vigilant and the motor trolleys rolled down under strict security cover.
The third railway line is from Patratu to Garhwa junction. It is to further accelerate the transportation of coal etc from this region to other parts of the country.
