Chief Minister Mohan Yadav here on Friday directed senior police officers at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) that such work should be done which can become an example to control crimes in Madhya Pradesh and to implement the Prime Minister's concept of smart policing.
Chief Minister Yadav said that police personnel should be encouraged to do their work better.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are some communities whose people are associated with criminal tendencies, efforts should be made to bring them into the mainstream. A detailed action plan should be made in the districts where crime rate is high.
Effective action should be taken against illegal arms smuggling and liquor mafia. Strict action should also be taken against the mineral mafia in coordination with the Mineral Department. Keeping in view the needs of the next 20-25 years, necessary action plan should be prepared and implementation should be started.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the process of promotion of All India Service officers from higher posts and state police services should also be expedited. There should be no delay in promotion to the posts of inspectors and other posts also. Action should also be taken in pending cases of compassionate appointment.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajoura informed about the need for vehicles and the proposal for its fulfillment and other proposals including the welfare of police personnel.
In the meeting, Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena gave a presentation related to the system and working system of the police department. The main pillars of the working system, structure of the state police, law and order and anti-Naxal campaign, crime control, use of technology, were given in the presentation.
Importance should be given to departmental work that increases the efficiency of the police. There should be strict control on every type of crime. Madhya Pradesh has to improve the present level in crime control.
In religious places where there is a tradition of taking out processions, processions and festivals several times a year, priority should be given to ease of transportation, necessary parking arrangements and security. Crowd control arrangements at religious fairs in Orchha, Ujjain and other cities have to be made more effective.
The housing problem of police personnel should be resolved. Work towards curbing prostitution. Having special sensitivity in these types of crimes with social standards and harmony were among the important instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in the meeting of police officers.
