Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has informed that an important decision was taken by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to legalise illegal colonies of urban bodies. For the implementation of this decision, new rules were formulated by the Urban Development and Housing Department.
Under these rules, the process of legalising more than 6 thousand illegal colonies has been done. Due to the legalisation of these colonies, the residents of these places will be able to get bank loans, permission to build houses, map of houses and benefits of other government schemes. On May 23, Chief Minister Chouhan will declare the illegal colonies legal and distribute maps of houses to the residents of the legalised colonies of Bhopal at the CM's residence.
