Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that people will get services without any difficulty due to administrative efficiency for which senior officials have been made responsible for monitoring implementation of public welfare schemes at divisional level.
The Chief Minister said that officers and employees should devote time for discharging responsibilities at their respective headquarters and also perform field level duties. He said that officers must understand the problems of the people and effectively address them. Dr. Yadav said that workers of Vinod Mill of Ujjain and Hukumchand Mill of Indore have been given their liability amounts. Similarly, a roadmap should be drawn out to provide benefit to the workers of JC Mill of Gwalior also. Dr. Yadav asked the officials to set an example of good law and order situation. He asked them to implement plans keeping in mind the needs of the next 20 - 25 years.
Yadav said that the complaints received from the general public should be timely resolved and the prescribed schedule of night stay by the officers should also be strictly adhered to. Services should reach out to the citizens in the cities and villages. Senior officers involved in monitoring will play an effective role. Coordination will bring about transparency in implementation of government schemes. Chief Minister Yadav said that surprise visits by the officers would help ensure good services. This Chief Minister observed this while holding discussions with Additional Chief Secretaries in-charge of the divisions and all Additional Directors General of Police at a meeting in Mantralaya.It may be noted that the state government has assigned division-wise responsibilities to senior administrative and police officers before reviewing the development works at the divisional level under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister. Additional Chief Secretary level officers will monitor and supervise the status of various development activities.
The Additional Chief Secretary will visit districts of the division at least once in two months and review the development works through video conferencing every month. Along with the review of major schemes and projects identified for the districts, the Additional Chief Secretary will also be present in the divisional meetings of the Chief Minister. Similarly, Additional Director General of Police level officers have been asked to review law and order situation and police functioning.
Yadav said that idols and clothes of deities sold at major religious and spiritual places, the decorative art pieces and materials come from other states. To provide employment to the local people and motivate them for self-employment, art camps should be organized to make them skilled in the production of such material. Small scale industries should be encouraged. This will help increase income of the local people and this will also promote religious and spiritual tourism.
Chief Minister Yadav said that steps should be taken for traffic management in Ujjain also on the lines of Tirupati Balaji. Devotees should not face any inconvenience in commuting. The pilgrims should have time to visit surrounding places after darshan. The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of Sankranti, Sawan, Magh etc., ashrams and other arrangements should be made near religious places for comfortable stay of senior citizens.
Chief Minister Yadav said that farmers in rural areas should be given full support for agricultural work as well as animal husbandry. Efforts should be made to increase their income by benefiting from various schemes. Successful initiatives of cottage industries in Gujarat should be implemented in Madhya Pradesh.
