Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to late Madhavrao Sapre, the pioneer of national language Hindi, profound thinker, intellectual editor, journalist, freedom fighter who was dedicated to public works, on his birth anniversary. Chief Minister Chouhan garlanded the portrait of Sapre in the auditorium located at the residence office and paid floral tributes.
Sapre was born on June 1871 at Patharia in Damoh district. Sapre's creativity was multi-dimensional.
His contribution to the country is extraordinary and timeless. He got Hindi words for many English words. In the year 1905, his "Hindi Vigyan Kosh" was published.
Sapre did the work of awakening the ideological social revolution. Sapre passed away on April 23, 1926. The Madhavrao Sapre Memorial Newspaper Museum dedicated to him is operated in Bhopal.
