In the same episode to mark the beginning of year 2024 on a healthier note SAIL Bokaro Half Marathon with complete SAIL BSL initiatives will be organized on 28 January 2024 from 6am onwards. The level of preparations going on war footing via Bokaro Steel management in making this gala event successful with only quality approach rather than quantity as updated during media interaction via BSL Top officials.
ED Personnel Rajan Prasad on Thursday while inaugurating Half Marathon 2024 registration process appealed all to be a part of this gala event which is now identity of Vibrant Global active city Bokaro and this Half Marathon 2024 recognised by the “Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS)” which is also giving international identity to this Half Marathon. Further ED said that the upcoming marathon is part of BSL's campaign for encouraging residents of Bokaro to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Also Kishan Chand GM(F&A) during media briefing said that Half marathon 2024 is going to be the Best quality event with appropriate prizes in the categories 2km (Specially Abled) 21Km,10Km and 5Km which will be organized completely in modern way where sensor will record the timing of the runners by beamer ray and electronic semiconductor chips which will be installed on the Bibs which is sheet of paper with an e-tag attached to it which is used to record the runner’s accurate timing over the course of the marathon .
Finally COC BSL MK Dhan said that online participation of the event opened in the website www.bokaromarathon.com and expects overwhelming participation in all the categories like last year. Moreover during the event facilities like emergency service ambulance, Helpline numbers, Security coordinators including various other basic amenities would be available instantly to support and boost this event. During this inaugural function Kundan Kumar, CGM (TA), Sujay Kumar, CGM (F&A), Kishan Chand, GM (F&A), COC M K Dhan, Jaideep Sarkar and others were present mainly.
