BJP recalls ‘supreme sacrifice’ of Guru Gobind Singh’s sons

Bharatiya Janata Party Ranchi Mahanagar unit celebrated Veer Bal Diwas at Gama Singh Memorial Auditorium, Ratu road. Ranchi Mahanagar President KK Gupta presided over this program. Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, who was present on this occasion, said that the country can never forget the sacrifices of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. MLA CP present on the occasion said that Guru Gobind Singh's four sons, Ajit, Jujhar, Zorawar and Fateh, happily accepted sacrificing their lives instead of accepting the slavery of the Mughals. MLA Naveen Jaiswal said that the devotees of Guru Nanak Dev Ji know how to follow the national religion very well.

Presiding over the program, Mahanagar President K.K. Gupta said that the real Children's Day, December 25, in which Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh happily sacrificed their lives instead of accepting Islam in their childhood at the age of 8 and 5 respectively, should be celebrated because Nehru ji's birthday is 14. Celebrating November as Children's Day does not seem relevant as Nehru ji did not commit any martyrdom.

On this occasion, four Sahibzaade films were screened through big LEDs and their lives were highlighted by the leading leaders of the Sikh community, prominently Gurbinder Singh Sethi, Paramjit Singh Tinku, Harvinder Veer Singh Navjot Singh Alang (Ruble ) Share your views. The program was conducted by Metropolitan General Secretary Varun Sahu and vote of thanks was given by Balram Singh.

Every December, Sikhs mark the supreme sacrifice made by the four sons and the mother of their 10th religious leader, Guru Gobind Singh. Shaheedi Jor Mela or Shaheedi Sabha are observed in Punjab’s Chamkaur Sahib and Fatehgarh Sahib, attended by lakhs of people.

The historic battle of Chamkaur in December 1704 was fought here when a small number of Sikhs took on the huge army of the Mughals and the hill kings. Guru Gobind Singh’s younger sons, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh (9) and Sahibzada Fateh Singh (7), were killed following an attack on Anandpur Sahib. The Guru’s mother Mata Gujari and his two elder sons, Sahibzaada Ajit Singh (18) and Sahibzaada Jujhar Singh (14), were also killed within a week.

On this occasion, Harbinder Singh Bedi, Ramesh Singh, Usha Pandey, Neeraj Singh, Nandkishore Arora, Arbind Singh Pintu, Ranjit Singh Happy, Gagandeep Singh, Surjit Singh Saluja, Raja Bagga, Manpreet Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Ranpreet Singh, Harmeet Singh were present in the auditorium. Dhyan Singh, Baljit Singh Pavi, Anita Verma, Omprakash Pandey, Jitendra Pandey, Randhir Singh, Vinod Mahato, Pappu Verma etc. were present.
