BJP issues 'Arop Patra' against Soren Govt

Friday, 29 December 2023 | PNS | Ranchi

Jharkhand BJP on Thursday released a 20-page ‘Arop Patra’ (charge sheet) highlighting the alleged failures of the Hemant Soren government in the state during the four years of its reign.

Releasing the 'charge sheet' here a day ahead of the fourth anniversary of the Soren government, BJP Jharkhand chief Babulal Marandi said the tenure of the JMM-led government is marked by corruption, deteriorating law and order and unfulfilled promises.

Issuing the 20-page charge sheet, BJP state president Babulal Marandi said that in this government, thugs are getting rich, while the state of Jharkhand is getting worse. Marandi said that after the formation of the state, the UPA coalition government lasted for ten years. In these 10 years, law and order, development and employment have never been an issue for the JMM/Congress government. He has brought disgrace to the state for as long as he has ruled. He said that if there is no corruption in the state then what is it? If CM is not corrupt then what is Hemant Soren afraid of? If he did not feel that he had done anything wrong, he would go to the investigating agency and answer their questions.

Addressing journalists during the release of the charge sheet, Babulal Marandi said that this government has not fulfilled even a single promise. There would hardly be any class in this state which was not cheated by them. He said that this government had promised to provide five lakh jobs. He had said that if he could not provide a job, he would retire from politics. But he neither gave a job nor did he leave aside retirement. On the issue of localism, Babulal Marandi said that the government's planning policy 2021 was cancelled by the High Court. Instead of bringing a resolution and making local and planning policy, it has shown its false intentions by bringing the excuse of the 9th Schedule. The 1932 Khatian Bill has already been declared unconstitutional by the Law Commission.

Babulal Marandi said that CM Hemant Soren keeps roaming from district to district saying that the Center is not cooperating. Thousands of crores of rupees are lying with the Centre. This allegation of the government is baseless. On the basis of data in his charge sheet, Babulal Marandi said that the state has been getting the support of the Centre. He said that the benefit of PM Ujjwala Yojana has been given to 9 crore 59 lakh people in the country while in Jharkhand it has been given to 32 lakh 27 thousand 135 people. 3 crore people in the country have got the benefit of PM Awas Yojana (Rural), while here 15 lakh 84 thousand 185 have got it. In Jharkhand, 40 lakh 8 thousand 283 people have benefited from the toilet scheme. 11 crore 27 lakh farmers have got the benefit of Kisan Samman Nidhi across the country. In Jharkhand also 27 lakh have been benefited.
