Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list of 39 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, scheduled in November, this year. This is the first time that candidates have been announced before the announcement of Assembly polls. All these are the seats where the Congress candidates emerged victorious in last elections. Most of these are also seats where BJP has been losing elections for two consecutive terms.

Dhruvnarayan Singh has been fielded from Bhopal Madhya (Central) and former mayor Alok Sharma from Bhopal North. Madhu Verma has been fielded from Rau in Indore. Anchal Sonkar has been given ticket from Jabalpur East.

Former Minister Lal Singh Arya has been given ticket from Gohad in Bhind, while Pritam Lodhi was from Pichor seat. Former minister Lalita Yadav has been pitted from Chhatarpur. Scindia supporter Adal Singh Kansana has got ticket from Sumavali and Nirmala Bhuria from Petlavad.

Rau - Madhu Verma Petlawad - Nirmala Bhuria Kasrawad - Atmaram Patel Gohad - Lal Singh Arya Chhatarpur - Lalita Yadav Patharia - Lakhan Patel Gunnore - Rajesh Verma Chitrakoot - Surendra Singh Gaharwar Shahpura - Omprakash Dhurve Sonsar - Nana Bhau Mohod Maheshwar - Rajkumar Meo Petlawad - Nirmala Bhuria Kasrawad - Atmaram Patel Sumavali - Andal Singh Kansana (they were defeated in the by-election)

Sarla Rawat, daughter-in-law of former Sabalgarh MLA late Meharban Singh Rawat, has been made the candidate. Neeraj Singh Thakur, son of former MLA Pratibha Singh, has been given ticket from Patan seat in Jabalpur. Kamakhya Pratap Singh, son of former MLA Manvendra Singh Bhanwar Raja, has been fielded at Maharajpur in Chhatarpur district.

Chandrashekhar Deshmukh has been given ticket from Multai. He defeated Congress strongman Sukhdev Panse in 2013, but the party did not give him a ticket in the 2018 elections and the Congress won here. But this time again the party has reposed faith in Chandrashekhar Deshmukh.

Similarly, Satish Malviya won from Ujjain's Ghattiya seat in 2013, but did not give him a ticket in 2018, BJP had to face defeat in this election, but once again the party has bet on Malviya.

BJP has declared young face and BJP's District General Secretary Heera Singh Shyam as its candidate from Pushprajgarh assembly seat in Anuppur district. Earlier there was talk that MP Himadri Singh could be fielded from here, but the party reposed faith in Heera Singh Shyam. He has also been the President of Janpad Panchayat.

Priyanka Meena has been given ticket from Chachoda seat. Digvijay Singh's brother Laxman Singh is currently the MLA in this seat. Priyanka Meena has recently joined BJP. Her husband is IRS and currently posted in Delhi. Priyanka Meena came in the limelight when she contested the election of the District Panchayat member.

BJP has given ticket to Rajkumar Karraye from Lanji seat of Balaghat district. Rajkumar resigned from the AAP on Thursday morning. In the evening, he found a place in the first list of 39 candidates released by the BJP. He was in BJP before AAP. Was asking for tickets twice. That is, in a way, he has returned home.
