The state capital is in the grip of cold winds which are witnessed at a speed of 4 km/hr in the night of Tuesday and same was felt on Wednesday also. The minimum temperature has reached 8.8 degree celsius.
The weather conditions are chilly and cold due to cold winds from North India. Due to the shivering cold, the Health Department has issued an advisory to avoid the cold wave. In which people have been asked to be cautious about different types of diseases.
According to the Meteorological Center, Bhopal, the effect of cold will be more in the city for the next two days . It will be cold during the day as well as at night. There may be clouds in the next two days due to Western Disturbance. Due to this, it will remain cold during the day, while there may be a slight increase in temperature at night. The last week of December will also be extremely cold.
The health department has issued an advisory that in winter, the risk of cold, fever, pneumonia, skin disease, lung infection, hypothermia, asthma, allergy increases. Hypothermia is a dangerous condition and in such a condition immediately consulted a doctor. Due to the effect of cold waves, the skin can become pale, hard and sensitive. Red blisters may also appear. This is a serious condition, which is also c]alled gangrene. It is irreversible. Therefore, consult a doctor immediately at the first symptoms of a cold wave. Efforts should be made to warm the affected parts immediately.
Avoid going to places with extremely low temperatures. Go out of the house at night only if necessary. Treat cold-affected body parts with lukewarm water.
