One of the issues affecting the running time of trains is chain pulling. Chain pulling has been arranged by the Railways for special and emergency situations, but many times chain pulling is done without any reason even in normal situations. Due to which, apart from the chain pulled train, the trains running behind it are also delayed/affected, causing loss of time and revenue as well as causing inconvenience to co-passengers.
