An all-party meeting convened by Advocate Associations of Khariar was held at Khariar Judicial Court by on Wednesday to discuss about the apathy towards establishment of ADJ Court at Khariar. The meeting was attended by conscious citizens, local public representatives, businessmen, members of various institutions and journalists, apart from leaders across party lines.
The advocates have been staging demonstration since November 22 demanding establishment of the court but there is no response from the Government yet although all formalities have been completed. The participants unanimously decided to observe a bandh in Khariar, Boden and Sinapali blocks of the district on December 20.
In addition, a signature campaign will be conducted and the demand will be presented, said the advocates.
Former MLA Hitesh Bagarti, Lambodar Nial, MLA, Khariar, Adhiraj Panigrahi, Rashmi Ranjan Chalan, Jitendra Patnaik, Akshay Nanda, Kamal Charan Tandi were present in the meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Advocate Shiba Meher.
