Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress constituted a five-member National Alliance Committee (NAC) on Tuesday.
The committee is made up senior leaders Bhupesh Baghel, Ashok Gehlot, Salman Khurshid and Mohan Prakash. It would be headed by Mukul Wasnik.
"In the run-up to the general election 2024, the Congress president has constituted a National Alliance Committee with immediate effect," the party said in a statement.
According to sources, the panel will look into all aspects of forming alliances with other parties.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday announced the five-member committee.
The panel will oversee the seat sharing talks in the INDIA bloc for the Congress, party sources said.
As many as 28 parties have come together to take on the BJP and its allies in the Lok Sabha elections.
