Bag containing valuables worth Rs 12 lakh stolen from marriage garden

Video surfaced of a miscreant escaping with bag carrying valuables worth over Rs 12 lakh were stolen from Rashdham marriage Garden which was during the marriage ceremony on Tuesday; Nishatpura police have registered a case of theft and started investigation.

In the video it was seen that the accused climbs the stage with full confidence. Tries to hide his face from the cameras under the guise of guests. As soon as he gets the chance, he steals the bride's bag full of jewelery and escaped. The footage of the thief has been captured in the photo and videography of the wedding.

Along with this, while escaping he was also captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the parking lot. The police believe that the accused is a member of the Kanjar gang. Most of the people of the gang involved in such incidents live in Dewas and surrounding areas. On the basis of the footage, efforts are being made to identify the accused and arrest him.

Gaurav's aunt reached the stage to click a picture and kept the bag aside. Taking advantage of this, the accused committed the crime.

Nishatpura police said that Ankit Singh Thakur lives in Mahabali Nagar Kolar. His elder brother Gaurav Singh Thakur was married at Rasdham Marriage Garden in Nishatpura area. On the night of Tuesday, the wedding guests kept getting photographs taken with the bride and groom. At around 1.30 in the night, Ankit's aunt went on stage for the family photo. During this, she kept his bag at a corner of the stage.

When she came back after taking photographs, the bag was missing. When the bag was not found even after searching nearby, Ankit Singh Thakur informed the police.

After reaching the spot, the police investigated but could not find any clue as to the person who passed the bag. The bride's jewelery in the bag was a gold necklace, mangalsutra, gold bracelets, ear sets and a silver belly chain.

The bride's father Prem Singh Chauhan said that his daughter works in a media house. Son-in-law Gaurav is originally a resident of Daburiya village of Junnardeo. The wedding procession had come from there, the bride's jewelery was with the son-in-law's aunt which were kept in a bag, along with this the envelopes were also kept in the same bag.
