Miscreants targeted the ancient Baba Ramdev temple located in Lakherapura in the night on Sunday and escaped with valuables over Rs 50000, Kotwali police have started investigation into the matter.
Police said that the miscreants targeted the temple between 12 in the night to 5 in the morning. The police have registered a case after the preliminary investigation.
The police are checking the CCTV cameras installed in the area to identify the accused.
Sunil Dabi, President of Shri Baba Ramdev Temple located in Lakherapura of Jeenagar community lodged a complaint with the Kotwali police that temple was closed by the priest last night at around 10 pm, at that time all the materials kept inside the temple were in order.
