Under the International Women's Violence Fortnight, “Child and Women Violence Prevention Campaign” organised a vehicle awareness rally to make the general public aware in various areas.
Additional Commissioner of Police Anurag Sharma flagged off the vehicle rally organized by the police department and voluntary organizations run under the Safe City initiative under the “Child and Women Violence Prevention Campaign” #Safety and Equality: No One Left Under the International Women's Violence Fortnight.
Today is National Child Rights Day, on this very day India expressed its commitment by signing the International Declaration on the Rights of the Child.
In the program, Additional Commissioner of Police Headquarters Anurag Sharma, UNICEF representatvie for Madhya Pradesh Margaret Gwada, Neetu Singh Thakur, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Advait Marathe were present.
In the program, teenagers and youth shared various experiences and experiences of change in cases of violence in their community under the innovations made by the police department, especially during Srijan and Main Bhi Abhimanyu.
On this occasion, Margaret Gwada, UNICEF Field Chief Madhya Pradesh, while appreciating the efforts being made by the police towards the protection of children and violence against women, said that in the present time, efforts are being made to eliminate violence and discrimination against children and women. For this there is a need to adopt an inclusive approach. He told the teenagers and youth present in the program that there is a need to learn the word rights and implement it in their lives.
Addressing the teenagers and youth under community policing, Neetu Singh Thakur said that these children are playing an active role under the mini police to prevent violence.
During the program, collective commitment is evident by taking oath based on prevention of child and women violence.
This rally will spread awareness messages related to child and women violence in various areas of the city from 11 to 16 December. Various police stations of the city will also participate in this rally.
