The 7th edition of the National-Level Autopsy Quiz Forense, held at AIIMS Bhopal on October 28, 2023, witnessed AIIMS Jodhpur emerging as the victor, clinching the prestigious first prize. This annual event, initiated in 2015 by AIIMS Bhopal, aims to underscore the vital significance of the subject area. This year, 34 teams from various esteemed medical colleges and institutes across India participated, engaging in a total of 11 rounds, featuring varieties of application based questions focused on forensic medicine and toxicology. The quiz saw the introduction of a Booster Round for the first time, adding an extra layer of excitement for participants.

Prof (Dr) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, extended his warm wishes to all the participants, emphasizing the importance of this educational endeavor. Dr. Raghvendra Kumar Vidua, Organizing Secretary of the quiz, introduced the teams and initiated the first round. Subsequent rounds were conducted by a panel of experts including Dr. Arneet Arora, Dr. Jayanthi Yadav, Dr. Niranjan Sahoo, Dr. Afsar Jahan, Dr. Sravan J. S., Dr. Sangita M, Dr. Bharati Reddy, and Dr. Rishabh Chandela.

In addition to the quiz, an engaging discussion on Cybersecurity and Cyber Hygiene at the workplace was led by Mr. Vaibhav Srivastava, Superintendent of Police, Cyber Cell Bhopal. His insights into the threats to security and data integrity from various digital devices captivated the audience, providing invaluable knowledge on cyber safety.

Dr. D. S. Badkur, Ex-Director of the Medicolegal Institute, Bhopal, oversaw the quiz proceedings and addressed queries from the students, ensuring a smooth and informative experience.

Following a day of intense competition, from 9 am to 7 pm, AIIMS Jodhpur emerged as the champions, with teams from Gajara Raja Medical College Gwalior securing the second position, and Atal Bihari Government Medical College, participating for the first time, claiming the third position.
