A man who was on the run in connection with an illegal online betting app has been arrested in Durg district in Chhattisgarh, police said on Thursday.
Deepak Kumar Singh alias Deepak Nepali was held on a tip off from his home in Vaishali Nagar on Wednesday, Durg Additional Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jha said.
He is a history-sheeter and faces 17 cases including those related to murder, abduction, assault, cheating and gambling. He was absconding for a long time. The police have invoked the National Security Act (NSA) against him.
