Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that today is the era of competition and the State government is determined to provide better and quality education to the children studying in government schools. “Our government has currently opened 80 schools of excellence, the target is to increase their number to 5,000. The amount of post scholarship has been increased to Rs 1 lakh. Pre-matric scholarship has also been increased threefold. To ensure that girls do not miss out on their education, they are being given the benefit of Savitribai Kishori Samriddhi Yojana,” he said.
Addressing the program organized in the ongoing third phase of “Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar – Aapke Dwar” in Gauripur Panchayat of Deoghar district on Tuesday, the CM said that the government is also providing financial assistance for preparing for competitive exams and doing various courses. On the other hand, to improve the skills of the youth here, the government has now made arrangements to provide training at the block level. Our aim is that the children here should not lag behind other children in any matter.
The CM said that Jharkhand will be made a powerful state by the year 2025. We will end the tag of backwardness that was imposed on Jharkhand for the last two decades. We will empower the people of this state economically, socially and educationally so that they can chart their own path.
He said that this is not the first time that this government is reaching every village panchayat. Rather, after the year 2021 and 2022, the program “Aapki Yojana-Aapke Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” is being organized this year for the third consecutive time. Under this program, I am also attending many camps and trying to see how people are getting the benefits of the government schemes and services. I am happy that a large number of people are coming to all the camps and connecting with the schemes of their need.
The CM said that the camps being organized in Panchayats are yielding positive and pleasant results. The aim of the state government is to serve the public through various mediums. The aim is to solve their problems and provide them information about the welfare schemes of the government and also provide them with its benefits. 80 lakh applications were received in the last two phases of the “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” program. On the basis of these applications, we prioritized the problems and then worked to solve them through schemes. The result of this is that under this program till now we have been successful in solving the problems of lakhs of people.
Soren said that lakhs of people are benefiting from the schemes being run by the government. Under the Universal Pension Scheme, more than 60 lakh elderly, widows and disabled people are getting pension. Our government is providing grains to them by issuing 20 lakh additional green ration cards. In the last 3 years, we have issued more than 20 lakh Kisan Credit Cards. More than 9 lakh girls have joined the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. Under the Abua Housing Scheme, the target is to provide 8 lakh houses to the poor. Under the Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana, about one crore villagers will be able to avail free bus service every year. Apart from this, there are many such schemes which are benefiting thousands and lakhs of poor and needy people.
The CM said that the government is continuously taking steps to provide employment to the youth. Thousands of vacant posts in government departments have been filled. The process of appointment to many posts is going on. At the same time, in the private sector too, till now more than 50 thousand youth have been given offer letters through employment fair. Along with this, the government is providing capital to the youth who want to do business under the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme.
On this occasion, the CM laid the foundation stone of 64 schemes worth Rs 255 crore 54 lakh 1 thousand. He distributed assets worth Rs 7 crore, 97 lakh 66 thousand among 5721 beneficiaries of various schemes.
