Five Naxalites on Tuesday surrendered to security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
Guddu Tati, Payku Hemla, Sannu Tati, Santu Potam and Sonaru Karam alias Ravi turned themselves in, Bijapur Superintendent of Police Anjaneya Vaishnav said.
They were active in the Gangaloor Area Committee of the outlawed Maoist group.
They were involved in several Maoist incidents for a long time.
