2 children, one teacher injured as plaster falls down from ceiling

The plaster of the ceiling of Government MS School located in Shahjahanabad, Bhopal fell down, in which 2 children and 1 teacher were injured.

At the same time, other children studying in the class also suffered minor injuries. The incident occurred at 2.15 pm on Friday.

Class teacher Taseem Alvi said that during teaching the plaster of the ceiling started falling. A girl and a child have suffered leg injuries and she was also injured. It has been 23 years since she started teaching in this school. Water keeps leaking from the roof every time it rains. It is being said that the school building is about 40 years old.

The roof of this classroom of Government MS School located in Shahjahanabad was uprooted.

Principal Kiran Purohit said that more than 100 children study in the school. There are 8 teachers. The incident happened at 2.15 pm. There were about 17 children in the class at that time. The plaster may have become weak due to dampness of rain. Due to this the plaster has fallen.

Councilor Mahesh Makwana had got the repair work done in the classroom where the incident took place. We are continuously getting the school repaired.

Bhopal District Education Officer Anjani Kumar Tripathi said that the ceiling of a class of the Government MS School located in Shahjahanabad has collapsed. A teacher and students were injured in the accident. Both have been sent to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Shahjahanabad police station in-charge UPS Chauhan said that information was received about the plaster falling off the school ceiling. I reached the spot and talked to the children and the teacher.

He said that this incident happened suddenly. In which a girl suffered leg injuries. He has been sent to the hospital. Teachers have sent the remaining children home.
