The 15-day-long Integrated Youth Development Programme (IYDP) has been inaugurated in the Rajanikant Higher Secondary School (RKHSS), Luhasila in the Bijatala block of Mayurbjanj district. The two-day inaugural function was held on Monday and Tuesday presided over by the college principal Kavi Sangram Satpathy.
While Saraskana MLA Dr Budhan Murmu was the chief guest, Zilla Parishad Member Meena Soren and social activists Saroj Kumar Mohanta, Amod Kumar Mohanta and Alok Kumar Mohanta were the guests of honour on Monday. Bijatola Block Chairperson Rani Murmu and Luhasila Sarpanch Arpita Murmu attended the Tuesday program as the chief guest and chief speaker respectively.
Others who had an active role in making the inaugural programmes successful include college lecturers Ajay Kumar Giri, Pradyumna Kumar Mohapatra, Shashikant Nanda, Anil Kumar Giri, Rup Narayan Majhi, Ramakant Patra, Sanjeev Kumar Giri and Prahallad Kumar Swain.
Students in large numbers also participated in the programmes.
Different types of intellectual and sports competitions and also cultural and entertainment activities were held in the college premises.
