Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the “first-ever” National Training Conclave in New Delhi. The conclave aims to enhance capacity building in civil services and improve the training infrastructure for civil servants across India.
Its objective is to implement best practices and enable Government servants to contribute better to administration and nation-building.
The event was organised by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and sponsored by the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) - “Mission Karmayogi”.
It took place at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan in the national Capital. The conclave brought together over 1,900 representatives from training and research institutes across various regions and zones.
Union Minister of State for Personnel, Jitendra Singh, CBC Chairperson Adil Zainulbhai, CBC Joint Secretary SP Roy, and other CBC members addressed the conclave.
The CEO of “Karmayogi Bharat”, Abhishek Singh, gave a presentation on “Integrated Government Online Training” (iGOT).
The conclave serves as a platform to identify strategies for building and improving the ecosystem of Civil Service Training Institutions (CSTIs). It includes participation from various training institutes such as Central training institutes, State administrative training institutes, regional and zonal training institutes, and research institutes. Attendees included civil servants from Central Government departments, State Governments, and local Governments, as well as experts from the private sector.
