In a shocking incident, 32-year-old television actor and model Aditya Singh Rajput of MTV’s ‘Splitsvilla – 9’ and ‘Bad Boys’ fame was found dead in the bathroom of his Oshiwari residence in north-west Mumbai on Monday afternoon.Aditya — who had hours before his death been seen enjoying himself at a bar with his friends — was found in an unconscious state in his bathroom by a friend who rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead by doctors upon his arrival at hospital.
Aditya was living in a shared apartment on the 11th floor of the Lashkaria Heights building at upmarket Oshiwara area.Though the exact cause was not immediately known, preliminary reports suggested that he might have died because of drug overdose.
On their part, the Oshiwara police has registered an accidental death report (ADR). The body has been sent to the nearby Cooper Hospital for an autopsy. The report is awaited. Born in Uttarakhand on August 19, 1990 and brought up in New Delhi, Aditya entered the film and entertainment industry at the age of 17 years.
Apart from acting in films like ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Adi King’, ‘Lovers’ and ‘Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara’, he worked as model for several products and participated in ‘MTV Splitsvilla- 9’. He was also part of television shows like ‘Love’, ‘Ashiqui’, ‘Code Red’, ‘Aawaz Season 9’, ‘Bad Boy Season 4’, ‘Cambala Investigation Agency’ and others.
