The construction of an inner ring road, one of the important projects of Mahakumbh 2025, will start within the next seven days. For which work has been started at the construction site and other types of activities have been started. The mapping from Sahson to Mirzapur Road has also been completed. On the basis of this, 95 per cent land acquisition work was also completed.
The work of the first phase of this 65 km project is to be completed before Mahakumbh. In which 30 km long inner ring road will be constructed in three parts. Preparations have also been started for the bridge on Ganges river to be built from Karchana to Phulpur.
In the first phase of inner ring road, the project will start from Lavayan Kala village in Naini. The first phase of the project is divided into three parts by the National Highway Authority (NHAI). The tender process has been completed for the old Grand Trunk Road and the tender process for the 7.50 km long inner ring road in the subsequent part. As many as 29 companies took part in the tender for this project. For the first phase of the project, 195 hectares of land of 4,000 farmers of 45 villages of the district has been acquired. Compensation has been issued for ownership of land, buildings, gardens, wells of farmers affected in the project.
This ring road will be taken forward by taking Mahuari, Lavine Kala on Old GT Road from Rewa Road to Mahuari, Lavine Kala and will be connected to NH-2 near Sahson. Preparations have been made to start the work of Ring Road in the first week of December without delay. The construction of the bridge of the Ganga will also be started.
Project Director, National Highways Authority, Prayagraj Pankaj Mishra, said there is a plan to start the construction work of Naini Lavayan Kala and Old GT Road from inner ring road for which almost all preparations have been made.
