The 53rd foundation day of Churches of North India (CNI) will be celebrated on November 29.
Media incharge of Diocese of Lucknow Sunil Kumar Verma said as usual the main function will be organised at All Saints Cathedral (Patthar Girijaghar) Civil Lines, here in Prayagraj. Bishop Morris E Dan will cut the ceremonial cake and will pray for the well-being of the society.
Katra Church, Saint Paul Church, St John’s Church, Yamuna Church, Chowk Church, Holy Trinity Church, Naini Community Church will also celebrate the occasion and the priests will attend the main function.
DIYAS LIT: On the eve of Devotthani Ekadashi 1.25 lakh diyas were lit to glow Mauj Giri Ghat on Wednesday evening. It was a part of Kalindi Mahotsav, organised by Duttatreya Sewa Samiti. Yamuna Aarti and fire work display were the main attraction of the programme.
Dozens of boats were used for ‘deep daan.’ The programme was inaugurated by Justice Manju Rani Chauhan of the Allahabad High Court, while the guest of honour was Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav.

NOTICE: Associate professor of Allahabad University Dr Vikram has been served a show cause notice for his ‘comments’ on Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. He had allegedly made objectionable remarks on the Hindu Gods on X and had to face strong criticism from the students and society.
The matter was placed before the Executive Committee of the university, which directed the registrar to serve a notice on Dr Vikram and ask him to explain as to why action be not taken against him for this ‘uncalled for irresponsible act’.
