32 AGMUT cadre IPS officers promoted to DIG

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has promoted 32 IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre to the post of Deputy Inspector General(DIG). The promoted officials are from the 2009-2010 batches. A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the Screen Committee of the Ministry held on December 20, 2023.

IPS officials Shakti Kumar Pathak, Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal, Jaid Ahmed Koul, Shahid Mehraj Rather, Rayees Mohamad Bhai, all from the 2009 batch, and Amit Sharma, Shweta Chauhan, Esha Pandey, Rajendra Prasad Meena, Rajeev Ranjan Singh from 2010 batch are among those who have been promoted to the DGI level with effect from January 1, 2024, or from the date of assumption of charge, whichever is later, as per an order from the Ministry.

Four AGMUT IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre who are currently posted on central deputation have been granted Proforma promotion to the DIG level. These officers are Dr Eish Singhal, Rajiv Omprakash Pande, Benita Mary Jaiker, and Santosh Kumar Meena. All of these officials are from the 2010 batch.
