Glorious 4 years of Hemant Sarkar: Hemant Soren Is Going Great Guns

Hemant Soren is fast establishing himself as a young and dynamic leader of Jharkhand, who has demonstrated capabilities of delivering promises made and dreams shown in the last four years as Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He has a vision to take the state on the path of progress and prosperity says ANUPAM SHESHANK

Hemant Soren is fast establishing himself as a young and dynamic leader of Jharkhand, who has demonstrated capabilities of delivering promises made and dreams shown. He has a vision to take the state on the path of progress and prosperity. He has established a wonderful connect with the people by his popular scheme, 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar'. We are a democratic country, yet the majority of the people are afraid of going to different agencies of the government, particularly people In a backward state like Jharkhand, because of red tape and rampant corruption. The significance of the scheme can be appreciated properly only by those who are poor, illiterate and thoroughly marginalised in the system. In the glorious 4 years of Hemant Sarkar the Chief Minister has definitely instilled confidence among the common masses.

Education is the driving engine of growth-- social, economic and political. Hemant Soren has taken some practical and meaningful steps to improve the quality of education in the state. 80 government high schools have been declared School of Excellence and special attention is being paid to uplift these schools qualitatively. The government is making all out efforts to ensure the education of a girl child. This has improved their rate of admission and the rate of dropouts has considerably declined. Hemant Soren has handsomely incresed the grant of affiliate colleges which have permanent affiliation. The JPSC is going to start the appointment of about two thousand college teachers shortly. The poor students of SC, ST and OBC categories are being given scholarships so that they could pursue higher education in prestigious foreign universities and institutions. All this has uplifted the face of education right from primary school level to the highest level and has made it more inclusive and democratic.

The credit goes to Hemant Soren that he has taken special steps to improve the condition of the workers. Labour laws have been amended in their favour. Labour Control Rooms have been set up to address their problems immediately and effectively. These steps will definitely go a long way in safeguarding the rights and interests of workers.

The state government has reintroduced the old pension scheme which had been done away with by the Vajpayee government in 2004. It is a boon to the old and helpless retired persons who had been left to fend for themselves. The government has also introduced a universal pension scheme which will take care of the old and infirm. It shows the bold leadership of Hemant Soren who is ready to take on the challenges which is required to make the life of people better.

The boys and girls of state are tough and resilient. Hence, they have immense potential to excel in the field of atheletics and sports. What they need is proper training, nutrition and sports gear. The government has improved training infrastructure and enhanced fund for sports. This has started showing positive results.

Our state is backward and a large population is dependent upon agriculture. But the methods of cultivation are old and archaic. It can be modernised with new techniques and financial assistance. The state government's steps in this direction have been praiseworthy . Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojana will help in the economic empowerment of the marginalised section of the society. Hemant Soren has always demanded the state share which is due with the central government. If this is released, it will greatly help in the development of the state. He is very vocal when it comes to the revival of the Heavy Engineering Corporation. The HEC may get the revival package from the centre.

On the whole, the state is on the path of progress and prosperity.
