The whole world is facing the increasing threat of religious fanaticism and terrorism perpetrated in the name of religion. But restricting it is not an easy but it's a painful and arduous task. Pushing the youth of the country to become extremists is the most dangerous thing any country could handle it. Released today all over the country, '72 Hoorain' handles the subject of religiously laced terrorism very maturedly and presents it with layered and nuanced story telling.

Notably, director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan has already won the National award for the best director for the sensitive portrayal of the disturbing story which is thoroughly discussed in '72 Hoorain'. His sincere effort to unravel the truth and tackle the socio-religious problem of terrorism which is unleashed on those who belong to other faiths. The shocking revelations made in this film are quite disturbing which makes you think how hardwired these terrorists are who don't even think twice before taking someone's life and themselves become  suicide bombers for their own jihadist purposes.

The film raises questions about the false promises of being greeted by virgin girls which are made to the vulnerable and fickle minded terrorists whose purpose is to just kill innocent people belonging to other faiths and lay their own lives to achieve martyrdom to  further the cause of their own religion.

Till now, many films had been made on the delicate subject of terrorism but there are hardly any films which have had tried to unravel the real root causes of such dangerous terrorist missions which are carried out by dreaded terrorists in the name of religion. It also delves deep into the psyche of such terrorists who are ready to lay their own lives in the most cruel ways.

Everyone knows that how terrorists creates mayhem and get involved in dangerous terrorist activities but very few know what kind of  meticulous planning is done before carrying out dangerous terrorist attacks and activities, how people are manipulated and are indoctrinated to become terrorists. The film treads the path which seldom any film has treaded before.

Portraying the role of a dreaded terrorist, actor Pavan Malhotra has given one of his career best performance in this film. With his impeccable timing he gives one of the most menacing onscreen performances which will be remembered for a long time to come. Aamir Bashir too excels in his characterisation of dreaded terrorist.

Laced with nuanced writing, powerful execution, nuanced story telling and brilliant performances of the lead cast, film '72 Hoorain' will shook you from within and make you think hard about the purposes of such atrocities which comes in the form of religious toxicity and how youth are easily  converted into monsters who not only kill innocent people but are also ready to lay their own lifes for the lost cause.
