Commissioner of Police (CP) Mutha Ashok Jain, along with Vice-Chancellor (V-C) Prof Bihari Lal Sharma and other university officers, inspected the site on Sampurnanand Sanskrit University (SSU) campus here on Monday afternoon where during one-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit on September 23.

During the visit, the PM may see the amazing store of rare manuscripts kept in Saraswati Bhawan Library in the university. Both the CP and V-C took stock of preparations and other arrangements. Registrar Rakesh Kumar, Chief Proctor Prof Dinesh Kumar Garg, Dr Padmakar Mishra, Prof Jitendra Kumar, Ramvijay Singh and other officials were present.

The V-C Prof Bihari Lal Sharma himself is taking stock of the entire preparations for which various committees on cleanliness and other types have been formed at the university level. Along with this, other concerned officers are also busy in discharging their responsibilities.

Conference of ‘HAEMOCON’ held: The Indian College of Haematology and Oncology Society in association with Bharat Vikas Parishad Varuna Seva Sansthan Trust organised its 2nd national conference of ‘HAEMOCON, 2023’ in Cantonment area here.

In the closing session of the conference held on Saturday, the chief guest and National President of Indian Medical Association (IMA) Dr Shard Agrawal and Member, NMML, Ministry of Culture, Government of India Prof Kamlesh P Joshipura and ex-Director, IMS, BHU Prof VP Singh jointly released a book ‘The Textbook of Clinical Hematology’.

The Fellowship was also given by the organisation to as many as 25 doctors including Dr Sharad Agrawal, IMA National President.
