VIT-AP University organises blood donation camp
Amaravati: On the occasion of the 85th birth anniversary of VIT Founder and Chancellor, Dr G Viswanathan, VIT-AP University organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Government General Hospital (GGH) Guntur. In a notable event hosted at the university premises today, 483 students, faculty, and staff actively engaged in the altruistic act of blood donation, underscoring their commitment to a noble cause. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr SV Kota Reddy, Vice Chancellor of VIT-AP University, and Dr Y Kiran Kumar - Superintendent - Government General Hospital (GGH), Guntur and highlighted the significance of such initiatives in saving lives.
SRM Easwari College holds graduation ceremony
Kattankulathur: Upskilling, deep learning of technology, transformation of innovative ideas to arrive at solutions for problems to improve the lives of people, along with inculcation of universal human values was essential and critical for students and young engineers of the country today, Prof (Dr) TG Sitharam, Chairman, All India Council of Technical Education, said on Saturday. Delivering his Graduation Day Address and handing over degrees and awards at the 23rd Graduation Ceremony of Easwari Engineering College (an SRM Group Institution and affiliated to Anna University) at SRMIST, Kattankulathur, Prof. Sitharam said the rapid strides in the development of advanced technologies especially generative Artificial Intelligence, had created possibilities for people to lose jobs, and hence continuous learning, upskilling, and reskilling had become very critical.
