UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and former CM & leader of opposition Akhilesh Yadav will share the dais here on May 21. The occasion is the two-day training programme for the newly-elected MLAs of the 18th UP Assembly to be inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana will also address the legislators. The training programme will be held at the Tilak Hall of UP Secretariat. Former UP Assembly Speaker Hridaya Naryan Dikshit, former leader of opposition Ram Govind Chowdhary, and former minister & state BJP president Lakshmi Kant Bajpai will also address the newly-elected legislators. Governor Anandiben Patel will deliver the valedictory address on May 21.
On the second day of the training programme, engineers from central PSU NICnet will impart training to the legislators on the use of tablets enabling MLAs to participate in the proceedings of the assembly through the e-Vidhan portal. UP’s is the only state assembly to implement paperless proceedings. The mobile app of the UP Assembly will also be formally launched on the occasion.
