Three-day Hindi festival Tooryanaad ‘22, inaugurated in MANIT campus

The inauguration of the three-day Hindi festival Tooryanaad’22, organized by the Rajbhasha Karyanvayan Samiti of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology began from Friday.

Renowned theatre actor Raghuveer Yadav was present as the special guest. Apart from this, Indian Administrative Service officer and eminent writer, Tarun Kumar Pithode was also present as a special guest in the programme. Along with this, the founder member of the committee, Ritesh Goyal Arya was also present.

The chief guest, the founder and the dean of the institute started the event by lighting the lamp with Saraswati Vandana. After the wreath-laying and reception of the guests, the chairman of the committee, Kavita Agrawal, apprised the audience about the outline and purpose of the committee.

R.K Dwivedi and Gajendra Dixit, Dean of the institute and Professor Savita Dixit, while praising the committee's responsibility for the awareness and upliftment of Hindi, explained the importance of series of Tooryanaad to the students.

The Chief Guest Raghuveer Yadav while sharing his experience said that if he is standing on the stage of Tooryanaad today, it is because of Hindi. In NSD, he used to study in English but he used to translate in Hindi to get the expressions. Since childhood, the papad seller near his house used to sing in Hindi melodiously, taking inspiration from him, he also stepped into the music world.

Special guest IAS officer Tarun Kumar Pithode, while recalling the school debate, told how important it is for India to have Hindi as the national language.

The program.e ended with a vibrant performance by Dhruva Band. This presentation, done by connecting traditional and cultural music with modernity, fascinated all the audience present there. Dhruva Band is the only Sanskrit band in the world which gives performances inspired by Rig Veda and traditional music.

A large number of students enjoyed the programme.
