Severe cold conditions have gripped the state and Umaria, Mandla and Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh remained the coldest cities of the state in the past 24 hours.
State capital recorded night temperature at 13.2 degree celsius while day temperature remained below 30 degree celsius. The evenings are misty while early mornings are foggy which would prevail in the season. Except Ratlam most of the regions recorded night below 14 degree celsius.
The dip in the night temperatures would not be steep any more as there will be no heavy snowfall in the mountains for the next 10 days. Cold winds from the north will continue over northwest and central India from 15 to 20 November.
Under these conditions no significant change in minimum temperature is likely over most parts of northwest and central India including Madhya Pradesh during next 24 hours and a later drop by 2-4 degree Celsius would be witnessed.
The weather of Madhya Pradesh is likely to remain dry till November 21, 2022. In the coming days, cold winds will impact further cooling regions of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
By the weekend, the minimum temperature in parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan may be in single digits with the maximum and minimum temperatures falling in Madhya Pradesh.
Western Disturbances generally start affecting the Western Himalayas from the month of October and continue till March, still much has not been witnessed of any strong Western Disturbance so far in the season.
