RPF took action against brokers making illegal e-tickets and 127 railway reservation e-rail tickets were seized.
The railway administration has made up its mind to take strict action against those who make unauthorized rail tickets. In view of the summer season, the Railway Administration has started a guerilla raid under the leadership of the Railway Protection Force against the touts doing the business of illegal e-tickets under 'Operation Uplabhad '. Under which action was taken by the RPF post New Katni Junction by confiscating a total of 127 e-rail tickets worth Rs 1,46,873 in action under Section 143 of the Railways Act.
Illegal business of train tickets in Beohari by RPF was found and on the basis of information checking at Prashant Computer online dealer, the operator of the shop, Prashant Gupta, without the permission of the authorized agent of railway, through his personal user ID and agent ID, booked 125 rail e-tickets from four IDs totaling Rs.1,46,873 were found. Action was taken against the said broker under Section 143 of the Railway Act by appearing in the Railway Court.
