Elocution competition held at MTI

On the sixth day of the iconic week an Elocution competition on the subject Rs Rs Towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat: Ideas to raise Steel Consumption” has been conducted at SAIL Management Training Institute, Ranchi on Saturday for all the employees of SAIL Ranchi based Units. The competition conducted was under two groups. Group-I was for Non-Executives of RBU and Group-II was for Executives of RBU. All the participants had done deep research on the topic and shared their ideas. Under Group-I- Lakshman Kumar,  RDCIS bagged 2nd prize whereas Partha Sarthi Gulshan, RDCIS bagged the 1st prize. In Group-I, S.Selvi, GM(CET), Homi Ghidiyal, AGM(CET) and Chandra Nath Kumar, Manager (MTI) won the 1st,2nd and 3rd prizes respectively. Saurabh Singh, GM (CHRD), MTI and Sanjay Agarwal, GM(Safety), SSO evaluated the participants as judges. The moving tableau today went to village Takra of Khunti Sadar Block, which is the village of tribal legend Late Jaipal Singh. Programme was attended by around 150 villagers, Mukhiya & Members of Women self help group.

DPS Ranchi student to witness 44th Chess Olympiad

Aditi Raj (Class IX) of DPS Ranchi will be a part of 44th Chess Olympiad which will be held in Mahabalipuram, Chennai from 28th July to 10th August 2022. She has been selected to witness the tournament in which she will get an opportunity to interact with the Chess Grandmasters across the globe and will gain exposure related to the game.  Six students from the state of Jharkhand will participate in this event and Aditi is one of them. She had also participated in the ceremonial occasion of Olympiad Torch Relay held at Khelgaon Sports Complex, Ranchi on 07th July 2022 which was graced by Jharkhand Sports Minister Mr. Hafizul Hassan. Principal of the school, Dr Ram Singh congratulated Aditi on her magnificent success.
