The National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled (NCSCDA), Directorate General of Employment (DGE), Union Ministry of Labour and Employment organised a free job fair for both PwDs and non PwDs on Friday in its office campus at Pokhariput.
The event was made successful with the active support of Assistant Director Sujit Kumar Sahoo, Sonalika Suman, Psychologist and other staff of the centre.
In the job fair vacancies of different profile were there such as field credit officer, sales executive, tele caller and delivery executive etc. A total of 65 PwDs/non PwDs job seekers participated in the event belonging to different districts to fill 250 vacancies from which 35 jobseekers got shortlisted. Nine job seekers participated through www.ncs.gov.in job portal.
Assistant Director Sahoo thanked all the employers for making the event successful. Sahoo also congratulated all the shortlisted jobseekers and urged them to popularise such kind of job fair among other job seekers of the State so that more and more jobseekers could take the benefit.
Sahoo requested all the employers to participate in future job fairs to be organised by the centre and recruit both PwDs and non-PwDs to ensure inclusive workplace at every organisation.
