Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that an agreement for allotment of 800 acres and 100 acres of land respectively at Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL)/Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation IMT, Kharkhoda will be signed in Gurugram on Thursday. This step will prove to be a milestone in industrial development. Employment opportunities will be created for thousands of youth due to new industrial plants, he added.
Khattar said, “With the establishment of the third plant of Maruti Suzuki, a new chapter of industries would start in the State. Haryana has immense potential for investment in many sectors. Investors can feel free to invest in the state. The manufacturing sector has an important place in the economy of Haryana. Soon Haryana would emerge as a manufacturing hub and establish its identity in the country as well as abroad.”
Haryana is a leading state in the production of cranes, cars, lifts, two-wheelers and footwear. 36 industrial model townships have been developed on 28,540 acres of land in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is promoting industrial development in the state and the Government has prepared a roadmap to take the state forward on the path of industrial development by making positive changes. A suitable environment is being created for industries in the state and all necessary facilities are being provided to the entrepreneurs. As a result of this, along with the big industries of the country, foreign companies are also willing to invest in Haryana, while many companies have started the process of investment. The investment of these companies has increased the pace of development in the state, he added.
