A two-day youth hostel managers’ workshop was held here on Sunday. Inaugurating it, former bureaucrat Padmanav Panda said the Youth Affairs Department is taking many steps for the development and improvement of youths.
He said the youth hostels established in various districts are helping to showcase the talent and skills of the youths.
Former Sports Officer Ravindra Captain highlighted the responsibilities, duties and roles of youth hostels.
District Information and Public Relations Officer Satish Kumar Sethi discussed the needs of youth hostels and the role of managers.
Manager of Puri Youth Hostel and coordinator of Nehru Youth Center Jay Shankar Joshi, Manager of Chennai Youth Hostel J Sampath Kumar, Manager of Pondicherry Youth Hostel D Deshi Gamani and Manager of Koraput Youth Hostel, Gopalpur, Harish Rupal participated in the workshop.
