Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Saturday visited the area of Khaniyara under Dharamshala sub division of Kangra district where unprecedented cloudburst and flash floods damaged the public property a day before. He inspected the entire area along with district administration and revenue team and interacted with the affected families and said that adequate machinery and manpower have been deployed to clear the debris. Immediate relief has also been disbursed by the administration, he added. The Chief Minister also appealed to the people to take precautions keeping in view the unprecedented monsoon. He directed the local administration to assess the property loss immediately so that admissible compensation could be provided to affected families.
