To boost its income and improve the revenue generation of the Corporation, the Board of Directors of the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation (HSWC) has decided to lease out 35 of its godowns with a floor area of approximately 24.50 lakh sq. ft. to private agencies for a period of one year which can further be extended on mutual consent basis.
A government official spokesperson said that the godowns of HSWC are situated in strategic locations with good road connectivity. The roofs of the godowns are fitted with galvalume sheets to make it leak proof. Weighbridges have been provided inside the campus. Also, concertina wire has been installed on RCC framed walls to avoid theft.
The spokesperson further said that the details of the warehouses are available on www.hswc.org.in. The bidders can also log on to https://etenders.hry.nic.in for detailed terms and conditions. The last date for submission of bids is September 8, 2022, he added.
He said that HSWC has 113 godowns spread all over the State of Haryana with a total capacity of 16,32,888 MT. In the balance sheet approved by the Board of Directors in the meeting held yesterday, the Corporation has earned a profit of Rs.26.07 crores (profit after tax). The Corporation pays dividend to two shareholders i.e. the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) and the State Government of Haryana, he added.
