To ensure the benefits of affordable housing projects reach the end users, Haryana Government has removed the provision of freezing of 50 percent saleable area in the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojna-Affordable Plotted Housing Policy, 2016. The State Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday accorded approval to a proposal regarding the same.
The Government spokesperson said that as a matter of security against any possible delinquencies in completion of the project, now the coloniser will be required to mortgage residential plots covering a saleable area of 10 percent, each against the Bank Guarantee required on account of IDW as well as EDC in favour of the Director. As per the amendment, the developer will get an additional option for the construction of a need-based community site at its own cost for the use of the residents of the colony at large and the provision of a community facility at an early day. Furthermore, the colonizer will not be allowed to earn any profit such as membership charges/fees from such community building. Lastly, the colonisers are required to get the occupation certificate of the community site before grant of final completion certificate.
Rationalization of Motor vehicle Tax penalty
In a major relief to the vehicle owners of Haryana, the State cabinet has decided to rationalize and modify the penalty rates of Motor Vehicles Tax to be levied on different categories of Motor Vehicles in the State. After the rationalization, where the tax due in respect of any motor vehicle has not been paid by the owner or the person having possession or control thereof, within the specified time, then in addition to payment of the tax due, he shall also be liable to pay penalty at the rate to 3 percent per month of the tax due. The actual amount of penalty shall not exceed the amount of tax due.
Haryana Land Pooling Policy 2022 approved
The cabinet approved the 'Haryana Land Pooling Policy' 2022. The Policy is a step forward for making landbank available for major urbanization and industrialization purposes.
The State Cabinet also approved a proposal regarding acceptance of The Haryana Targeted Public Distribution System (Licensing and Control) Order, 2022. Under this, 33 percent reservation will be given to women for grant of license for price shops. The License of a Fair Price Shops will be granted for a minimum of 300 beneficiaries ration cards. Whereas in rural areas, a village will be treated as a unit for this purpose. The fair price shop license will also be issued for less than 300 ration cards of the village.
The State Cabinet also accorded approval for giving ex-facto approval to revised policy/instructions regarding payment of ex-gratia grant to the families/disabled personnel of Armed Forces (Army, Navy & Air Force). As per the revised rates ex-gratia amount of Rs 35 lakh is being given to disabled Armed Forces personnel (Army, Navy & Air Force) in case of Disability (75 percent and above). Earlier, an amount of Rs. 15 lakh was given to the eligible persons.
Similarly, in case of Disability (50 to 74 percent) and (25 to 49 percent), an ex-gratia amount of Rs 25 lakh and 15 lakh respectively, is being given to the personnel. Earlier this amount was Rs. 10 lakh and 5 lakh respectively.
